A Hierarchically Coordinated Operation and Control Scheme for DC Microgrid Clusters Under Uncertainty

In the existing works of microgrid clusters, operation and real-time control are normally designed separately in a hierarchical architecture, with primary secondary levels, tertiary level. This article proposes hierarchically coordinated scheme for DC MG clusters under uncertainty. each MG, level controller optimizes operating cost by taking into account uncertainties renewable generations loads deviated from forecasting data; responds to power fluctuations through an optimised droop curve. The optimization problem is formulated optimize set points curve coefficients simultaneously using adjustable robust model. For cluster, energy sharing cluster optimized minimize total transmission loss. overall solved distributed manner alternating direction method multipliers (ADMM) where entity only exchanges boundary information (i.e. exchange cluster), thus privacy plug-and-play feature guaranteed. proposed approach optimally coordinates layers uncertainties; it achieves decentralized at layer layer, featuring high scalability, reliability economy. Case studies conducted Matlab/Simulink order demonstrate effectiveness approach.
